Competencies of the Quality of Life Committee<\/h2>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Quality of Life of Committee decides on the:\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

    \n
  1. Pre-authorisation for operation of shops and businesses after executing a pre-audit of the interest’s party request.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Revocation or definitive suspension of the license of establishing and operating of business shops and other facilities and activities which are overseen by the Muncipal Authorities,<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Granting or revocation of music licenses. <\/span>The decision shall be taken within twenty (20) days after <\/span><\/span>all legal documents and information<\/span><\/span> are submitted to the Committee .
    \n<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Proposes to the City Council:<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

      \n
    1. Land-use regulations.<\/li>\n
    2. Master plans, implementation of master plans, residential organization of open cities, implementing General Urban Plan (GUP), urban studies, redevelopment of areas, urban interventions, financing redevelopment, reconstruction of degraded areas, urban redevelopment of deprived areas, compensation of demolished properties<\/span>, urban regulation, levies on land or in cash for areas with specifically regulated urbanization, and approval of urban studies.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    3. \u00a0To take decisions regarding environmental protection issues.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    4. To take decisions regarding the siting of cemeteries and crematories under the provision of National Law 2508\/1997.<\/li>\n
    5. T<\/span>he draft of regulatory decisions of articles 79 and 82 of the Municipality and Community Chart.
      \n<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Futhermore,
      \n<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

        \n
      1. The Quality of Life Committee shall submit an annual activity report in the areas of its competencies, which will be discussed and approved by the City Council.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      2. The City Council may, for critical issues and for specific reasons, by an absolute majority of all its members to decide that it will exercise the same powers described in the preceding paragraphs.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      3. The Quality of Life Committee with a special decision taken by an absolute majority of its members may refer a matter that lies in its competencies to the City Council for the latter to decide, if this is deemed necessary by the particular severity of the matter at hand.
