Dimitrios Papapostolou is a naval engineer. He is involved with the local politics for more than 20 years. He was elected Councilor twice for the Community of Avlida Beach andv was elected three times Councilor for the City Council of Avlida which he served for four years as President. He was appointed as Vice Mayor of the Municipal Unit of Avlidas in September 2014.

COMPETENCIES

• Supervision of municipal offices operating in the Municipal Unit of Avlida.
• Monitoring the progress of projects and operations carried out at the Municipal Unit of Avlida.
• In collaboration with the designated Vice Mayor for Waste Management and Recycling oversees the cleaning service for the Municipal Unit of Avlida.
• Under the Mayor’s authorization he is elegible to sign certificates and other documents issued by the municipal offices operating in the Municipal Unit of Avlida.
• Collaborates with the Presidents of Local and Municipal Communities.
• Performs political weddings in the Municipal Unit of Avlida.
