Diamantis Karkantelidis was born in Halkida in 1961. He studied Physics at the University of Athens. He served as President at the Hellenic Physicists Union (Evoia branch) Secretary at the  Fisheries Association “Poseidon” and is a Greenpeace and Doctors Without Borders supporter. He is married and has two children. He was elected as City Councilor in Chalkida in 2010 and in 2014 was appointed as Vice Mayor.

• Supervision of the Employment, Entrepreneurship and Consumer Protection Office.
• Supervision of the Department of Education, Lifelong Learning and Youth.

Additionally Mr. Karkantelidis substitutes the Vice Mayor of Municipal Unit of Nea Artaki in case of absence or any other constraint.
