Giorgos Bantounas works as Technician of Medical Laboratories in “Microbiological – Biochemistry” laboratory at Chalkida General Hospital since 1982. He is married and a father of two. He is a member of the Prefectural Committee for Health and Safety in Working Areas and a Board member of the Chalkida -Evia’s Old Scouts Union. He has served as President, Vice President and Secretary of the Chalkida Hospital Labor Union.
In 2002 he was elected Councilor in the faction “Chalkida- Vision -Create” under Mayor Dimitris Anagnostakis. He was President of the 2nd Open Care Center for the Elderly in Chalkida and has served as member of the Municipal Committee and Deputy Mayor of Technical Planning. He was re-elected Councilor in 2006, was elected Regional Councilor in 2010, elected member of the Fin. Committee of the Region of Central Greece in 2013. In September 2014 he was appointed as Vice Mayor for Administration, Finance and Economics.
Additionally Vice Mayor Bantounas serves as Chairman at the Economic Committee and substitutes Vice Mayors Mr. Giorgos Sanidas and Mr. Dimitrios Papapostolou in case of their absence or other restrictions.
