The task of the Committee is to allocate the appropriate budget in order to cover the operating costs of the schools under its supervision. Costs may include but are not limited to heating, lighting, water, telephone, sewer, purchase of consumables, the cleaners fee, the execution of technical works for the repairment and maintenance of school buildings and the procurement of all kinds of equipment.
The allocation of approved appropriations to meet the needs of schools is decided by the Committee, taking into account the number of students, the number of departments, the number of classrooms, the operation of sports and of multi-purpose halls, of laboratories, libraries, the condition of the buildings, and the specific needs of each school.
